2010 Program Outcomes
88,923 Chicagoans were homeless in the course of the 2009-10 school year
Per our 2009-10 analysis, families made up 45.8 percent of Chicago's homeless population, a total of 40,723 people. There were 28,345 children (31.9 percent) and 12,378 adults (13.9 percent).
Unaccompanied youth (through age 17) made up 7.3 percent, or 6,463 youths.
Single adults made up 46.9 percent, or 41,737 single adults.

In 2010, RSSI served over 500 households, helped 85 househoulds with prevention assistance and provided over 5,700 services to our clients. Also, in 2010:
92% of clients avoided unneccessary hospitalizations for the entire year
91% of clients who are able to work are employed
94% of clients know how to develop a budget
92% of clients are able to self-manage their medications
100% of clients achieved at least two goals on the service plans
